GLOBAL 2000 – NATIONAL PARK GARDEN

A new national park is the perfect way to start the day. How does design turn into a commitment to protect nature? The 'Nationalpark Garten' project by GLOBAL 2000 shows how design can inspire a movement – and transform one’s own environment into a biotope. Every green space, whether a garden, balcony or windowsill, becomes part of a growing biodiversity network: a national park made up of many small fragments connected by attitude, action – and design. At the core of this project lie a series of photographic scenes with unexpected images that are astonishing – like a person who turns into a garden. The resulting works stand out through their distinctive design language, rich symbolism, and striking aesthetic presence. They make nature not only visible, but tangible, too. The project's visual language celebrates the beauty of everyday life, breaks with clichés of manicured garden idylls and creates an emotional closeness to nature, which stands under pressure. Design here, is used as an activation tool: a clear, visual identity, language that is easy to understand and an interactive map transform ecological complexity into an invitation to participate. You protect what you love, and what you design becomes part of a shared vision. The 'Nationalpark Garten' project is evidence of how design raises awareness, fosters community and preserves diversity. Today, this joint creation already covers over 680 hectares – and is continuously growing.
